Cheryl Kernot on social value

21 May 2009Cheryl Kernot wants to live in a society where 'social value' is not only respected, but can be measured as well.

It calls for a rethink on what is valued to include greater considerations of social good.

Cheryl is currently the Director of Teaching and Learning at the Centre for Social Impact, attached to the University of NSW.

She shares her thoughts on ABC's Life Matters program.

On 18 November 2011, Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Senator the Hon Kate Lundy, announced the establishment of an independent panel of eminent community leaders to conduct an inquiry into Australian Government services to ensure they are responsive to the needs of Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
