The snappers

26 July 2012 | A wild ride back to the halcyon mid 20th century decades of the newspaper industry in Australia, as some old time press photographers reflect on life behind the camera lens, and their willingness to do just about anything in pursuit of the front page shot.In our current digital snap-happy age, when 6,000 photos are loaded up, per minute, to the image sharing website Flickr, this program reflects on very different times, when photography was a highly skilled craft, and 'the snappers' were a vital part of the newspaper and magazine publication stables.
