MOST OF US know the old cliche about crisis also being opportunity. The genesis of the Foundation for Public Interest Journalism proves that the cliche is true.

Those who follow this blog will know that with Swinburne University’s Institute for Social Research, I am involved in a number of experiments exploring new models for journalism. A few weeks ago we called for nominations for the board of the new Foundation for Public Interest Journalism.
