.
At the recent annual meeting, Qantas shareholders endorsed the present management strategies and huge pay increases for the chief executive, Alan Joyce. This is odd since Qantas's share price has fallen under his watch. Further, Qantas is in conflict with several key stakeholders: the government, passengers and important groups of the workforce.
The grounding of the Qantas network precipitated horror stories of passengers having their travel disrupted and much discussion about the causes of this chaos. Now that the chaos is over, what will be the outcomes of the present industrial relations processes? In answering this question we should keep in mind other questions about Qantas.
