DEEP IN THE MESS that is my desk, I have a copy of a Dilbert comic strip that I keep for its cautionary value as well as its humour. The last block of the strip has an obviously frustrated Dilbert screeching at his boss, saying through clenched teeth: “You are solving the wrong problem!”

I have now been at Anglicare SA nearly a year and a half. Almost half of Anglicare’s activity is working with older South Australians; which means I am hearing more frequently than ever that we are an ageing society...
