Overcoming Indigenous Family Violence Forum
Family violence in the Indigenous community is a nationwide issue. It requires nationwide efforts and attention, if it is ever to be eliminated.
In Brisbane 2016, we created a Forum for all to listen to the real issues and concerns of the Indigenous community. It provoked such a response we were compelled to repeat it this year in Cairns and carried through the journey to empower both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians to be part of the solution. You can read about these events here.
Right now, we have worked on the next iteration and its scheduled to take place in Melbourne, in August. We are invested in finding a practical solution, and have appointed an Advisory Board for this event. The board consists of respected leaders representing diverse perspectives on Indigenous Family Violence, learn who they are by clicking here.
The 3rd event will focus on collaboration, delivering effective programs and services to tackle the issue of family violence. You can view the full agenda here, list of speakers here or go straight to register here. Have questions? For any questions, call 02 9368 3915 and someone will be happy to discuss the event with you further.
Be a part of the conversation, join us at the 3rd Overcoming Indigenous Family Violence Forum in Melbourne, 30 August – 1 September 2017.
