Description

This report explores some of the macro trends shaping social and economic inclusion in Australia, including workforce transitions and increasing wealth and income inequality. It considers the ways in which these trends impact on access to affordable energy supplies and participation in the technology-driven energy market transformation.

The report sets out why AGL considers it important, as a provider of an essential service, to actively engage in policy dialogue on these issues and to take positive action which contributes to the achievement of a more socially and economically inclusive society. This report is the backdrop against which AGL intends to develop a Social and Economic Inclusion Policy over the coming year.
