Darwin Convention Centre
10 Stokes Hill Road
Darwin NT

The Demography & Growth Planning team at Charles Darwin University is looking forward to welcoming you to Darwin in July 2018 for the 19th Australian Population Association Conference. Along with stimulating content and great networking opportunities, delegates will enjoy Darwin’s perfect dry season weather, its warm and laid-back atmosphere and some ‘only locals know’ highlights.

With the theme of ‘Beyond the City: Who’s out there?’ this Conference covers a range of population, planning and housing issues relevant to industry and Government alike, with the twist of a northern focus. We will share research results, review the latest models and techniques, and discuss new data releases. The program will inspire attendees to strive for better outcomes, to build better partnerships and innovative approaches to planning for our future.

With generous support from the Northern Territory Department of Treasury and Finance and the Australian Bureau of Statistics, attendees will experience fantastic value for money and the warmth and culture of our beautiful ‘Top End’ of Australia. We encourage academics, planners, policymakers, students and anyone with an interest to join us and submit an abstract (based on research, policy, reviews, modelling, working papers or applied work) via our website where you’ll also find much more information.

Please visit our conference website for full infromation including how to submit an abstract and register.

We hope to see you in beautiful dry season Darwin in July!
