Briefing paper

Description

There is increasing emphasis on understanding client pathways through service systems to improve interventions and client outcomes. The ability to link information across multiple service streams can provide vital evidence to inform decisions around policy and service delivery.

The NSW Department of Family and Community Services has developed the FACS Entity Database, a tool that can link over 50 datasets to provide information on the pathways of more than 4.4 million clients through FACS services. This FACSIAR Evidence to Action note introduces the FACS Entity Database, how it was created, what it includes and how it can be used by FACS and our partners.
