Legislation for the New Zealand Police Vetting Service: public consultation document

11 May 2018
Description

The New Zealand government is considering introducing an amendment to the Policing Act 2008 that would establish a legislative framework for the Police Vetting Service (currently there is none). No decisions have yet been made about legislation for vetting services provided by Police. Police seeks your views on this proposal.

This consultation document provides a platform for a focused, open and genuine public discussion on various issues we think are relevant. It also provides you with an opportunity to raise other issues you think are important.
