About the job
Located in within the Department of Health Professions, this Lecturer position is an ongoing position.
The incumbent will provide a strong commitment to curriculum development, academic teaching, and research activity in Digital Health and Health Informatics across the various programs offered within the School of Health Sciences, with a primary focus on health professions including nursing
The Lecturer in Digital Health is to work with the Chair of the Department of Health Professions and the School of Health Sciences’ Academic Director of Digital Health, in curriculum development across all academic programs and Departments within the School of Health Sciences. The incumbent will convene and teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate units, develop and manage industry partnerships, conduct research and supervise research students.
The incumbent will be expected to carry out educational and curriculum development of both online and on campus learning materials and assessments. In addition, the appointee will facilitate the overall convenorship of units, and majors within degree programs, including teaching and marking assessments.
The incumbent will be expected to function as a member of both discipline-based and interdisciplinary teams in order to help the faculty to achieve its objectives.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- A Doctorate or Masters qualification in digital health, health informatics, or health-related discipline
- Knowledge of digital health, health informatics, health data and information management, clinical informatics, and clinical health care
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain links with health care providers, community and industry
