Based in Melbourne, we have an exciting opportunity to join the Energy Program at Grattan Institute and work alongside some of Australia’s leading public policy thinkers influencing the direction of Australian policy.
Type: Part Time to Full Time
Min. Experience: Experienced
Salary range: $99,000 - $165,000 inclusive of superannuation
The successful candidate will work with the Energy Program Director, aiming to shape the debate on important policy challenges facing Australia’s energy sector.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of work experience in the public sector, industry, academia, and/or consulting.
A deep understanding of the energy sector (or true interest in specialising) and experience in contributing to policy debates are a must.
We are looking for an outstanding individual with excellent communication skills and research capabilities who thrives on complexity, has strong people/project management skills, writes and presents information well for a broad audience, has some experience with policy and policy makers and a broad economic and/or financial understanding. The ideal candidate will also be able to speak confidently and reliably with stakeholders and the media and quickly develop a public profile.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a Senior Associate or Fellow depending on their background and level of experience.
