About us

The justice system plays a leading role in responding to family violence and is pivotal to ensuring women and children are safe and perpetrators are held to account. The Royal Commission into Family Violence Implementation and Coordination Unit manages the Department's response to the Royal Commission findings.

The Royal Commission recommended a new law to facilitate greater information sharing in relation to family violence risk assessment and risk management and to ensure effective information sharing for all Information Sharing Entities (ISEs). In response, the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (the FVIS Scheme) was created.

About the role

As the Culture Change Strategy Leader, you will have primary responsibility is to ensure the effective and successful organisational change related to the implementation of the Information Sharing Culture Change Strategy across business units that are ISEs. You will work with business change managers and other key personnel in prioritised areas and support them to deliver their business unit action plans under the Strategy.

  • In the role, you will:
  • implement and deliver change management strategies and change plans with key milestone targets
  • deliver change, and initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • prepare reports, briefings and presentations to influence senior internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and provide a successful transition for the department and business units
  • develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government departments and external stakeholders across the justice system to facilitate FVIS culture change
  • ensure the timely delivery of quality culture change products, artefacts and collateral for use by business units.

Please note that this is a fixed term opportunity until June 30, 2019.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • advanced understanding of contemporary organisational culture change management practices
  • demonstrated experience in applying structured change management methods and change management techniques in a public sector environment
  • demonstrated ability to work with business units and stakeholders to ensure business readiness prior to implementing change
  • demonstrated ability in identifying and managing risks and issues associated with cultural change processes
  • previous experience in executing change management in government organisations
  • understanding of the nature, dynamics and impact of family violence.
