About the roles
The Mitchell Institute for Education and Health Policy is an independent education and health policy think tank established at Victoria University. Since its establishment, the Institute has played an important role in influencing government and public policy through evidence-based research and initiating public debate on important issues.
As part of a small team, the Policy Analysts and Fellows will manage and undertake research and policy projects to create new thinking and practical policy solutions for Australia’s most pressing education issues.
The Policy Analysts will undertake policy and data analysis and review research across the education and training sectors, from early childhood through to higher and vocational education and training. Translating data analysis and research into practical, fit for purpose recommendations will be a key feature of these important and interesting roles.
The Policy Fellows will play a leading role in translating research findings for general and government audiences under the guidance of the Education Policy Program Lead. These roles will have significant responsibility for raising awareness of Mitchell projects as well as influencing key decision makers to adopt relevant research findings.
