This 2011 publication outlines what can be done to minimise alcohol and drug related risk to workplace safety.
This includes identifying and dealing with workplace factors that can contribute to the risk; developing and implementing a written alcohol and drug policy; providing relevant education and training; providing access to counselling and rehabilitation services; and considering additional strategies.
This resource on managing alcohol and drug related workplace risk among young workers was prepared by the National Centre for Education and Training on Addiction (NCETA) at Flinders University, South Australia. NCETA has a strong interest in the workplace, with concerns focusing on workplace safety, worker wellbeing and its implications for productivity.
