New directions for Victoria's mental health services

Description

The directions outlined in this paper for the next five years will position mental health services to better respond to existing and future demand for care, by building on the strengths of the current system, developing an appropriate mix and level of services and implementing new and innovative approaches to consumer needs. Key areas that are driving the new stage of reform are discussed in length and these are: growing service demand increased complexity of consumer needs need for improved responses to consumer and carer needs need for a balance of care workforce challenges service sustainability and infrastructure
