This report presents the results of a national study into food insecurity among people seeking Emergency Relief across Australia.
The State of the Family Report has been providing valuable insights into the changing nature of families in Australia since 2000. When there’s not enough to eat is the 2012 State of the Family report in two volumes.
The first volume explores the key findings of a national study into food insecurity among people seeking Emergency Relief and presents Anglicare network perspectives on what is to be done across Australia.
The second volume is the full research report of that study. It draws on the voices and experiences of people interviewed in March 2012 at 63 emergency relief services in every state and territory, and identifies causes of food insecurity and factors that influence its severity.
