EMC global data protection index

7 Dec 2014

The EMC Data Protection Global Indx surveyed more than 3000 IT decision makers in 24 countries to create a ranking of protection readiness. The results underscore what every country must do to be confident their data is safe.

Across the world, China, the Netherlands and the US are in the top five when it comes to data protection maturity. Australia sits at number 11 out of the 24 surveyed countries, ahead of the UK and Canada.

The survey also reveals that while business impact from data loss and downtime remains staggering, a vast majority of businesses are behind the curve in the maturity of their data protection strategies. While most customers consider data protection to be critical to their success, they also feel challenged protecting cloud, big data, and mobile.
