Australian school girls get STEM intensive

Australian women are significantly underrepresented in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) careers, with less than one in ten engineering graduates being female.

The Curious Minds program aims to address that, by matching promising high school students with women working in the STEM sector.

Fifty-four of the country's brightest school girls are in Sydney this week for an intensive course to kick off the program.
