This investigative radio documentary asks what is being done to clean up New Zealand's lakes and rivers and it is being done fast enough?

Water quality is tipped to become a big issue in the lead up to this year's general election.

Those working to improve streams, rivers and lakes affected by nutrient leaching, faecal contamination from stock, storm water run-off and sewage overflows have said a great deal of work is already underway. But others have questioned whether there is enough urgency in the planning.
