Nominate for Regional Arts Victoria's RAVE Awards

28 May 2009Regional Arts Victoria RAVE Awards acknowledge the phenomenal work of regional artists, arts workers, organisations and volunteers in creating, delivering and presenting cultural activity in regional Victoria.  Nominations close Friday 14 August 2009.
 
Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) is now calling for nominations in the following six categories:
•          Contemporary Cultural Development 
•          Arts and Business Partnership
•          Indigenous Arts
•          Arts Volunteering
•          Regional Touring
•          Youth Leadership - includes for the first time in 2009 a $1,000 special cash prize generously supported by the Deloitte Foundation
 
Since 1990 RAV has awarded certificates of recognition acknowledging outstanding dedication and service to the arts in communities across Victoria. To date almost 90 people have been nominated by their local arts group and received an award.
 
"The RAVE Awards are a great opportunity to nominate someone who has contributed to excellence in the arts in regional Victoria and who is committed to the provision of the best arts services for regional Australians. These awards are an opportunity to recognise these important cultural crusaders," said 2007 award recipient and former HotHouse Theatre Artistic Manager Charles Parkinson. Previous award recipients include, actress and singer Anne Phelan and the Bell Shakespeare Company.

Women's Health Victoria (WHV) is a statewide women's health promotion, information and advocacy organisation, working with policy makers and health professionals to influence and inform health policy and service delivery.

The online survey is open to anyone who has used WHV's services, resources, or websites in the past 12 months. It covers: WHV publications, professional training, The Index database of gendered statistics, WHV Clearinghouse, BreaCan Service (supporting people diagnosed with breast or gynaecological cancer), capacity building, member services, and more.
