04 February 2011This report analyses the situation in the healthcare, education, energy and transportation sectors of the five Central Asian countries that emerged in 1991 from the break-up of the Soviet Union. It looks at both physical infrastructure (the state of hospitals, roads and schools) and human capacity (the training of teachers, retention of doctors and expertise of energy specialists).
