The grand plan: a new vision for the care of older Australians

16 August 2010This policy campaign argues that older Australians should be able to choose how and where they want to live, well supported by affordable care delivered as it is needed.

The Campaign for the Care of Older Australians (CCOA) is a joint effort by Australia’s leading aged care organisations - The National Aged Care Alliance. CCOA represents over 95% of Australia’s community and residential aged care organisations that provide care and services to over 1,000,000 elderly Australians.

On 18 November 2011, Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Senator the Hon Kate Lundy, announced the establishment of an independent panel of eminent community leaders to conduct an inquiry into Australian Government services to ensure they are responsive to the needs of Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
