HIV seroconversion study - newly diagnosed men in Australia 2007-9

03 December 2009The Seroconversion Study collects both quantitative and qualitative data from mainly homosexual men who have recently been diagnosed with HIV. 

Men are referred to the online questionnaire through clinics and HIV organizations providing services to men who are newly diagnosed. Men completing the online questionnaire volunteer for the more extended depth interview. To date, there have been 155 completed questionnaires, across five states, including over twenty who have also completed depth interviews.

On 18 November 2011, Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Senator the Hon Kate Lundy, announced the establishment of an independent panel of eminent community leaders to conduct an inquiry into Australian Government services to ensure they are responsive to the needs of Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
