| Paddock to plate: policy propositions for sustaining food and farming systems |
29 October 2009Paddock to plate: policy propositions for sustaining food and farming systems is the second and final phase of the Future Food & Farming project commissioned by the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) with funding from the William Buckland Foundation. The report explores the future of the Victorian food system in a carbon-, water-, energy- and nutrient-constrained world. The Policy Propositions document (pdf 724Kb) outlines 24 policy suggestions that would assist Victoria to equip its food and farming system to deliver healthier foods, healthier profits and healthier landscapes. This report builds on a more comprehensive background paper (pdf 6.7Mb) published by ACF in October 2008. More information about the project can be found on the ACF website.
