Vehicle Fuel Efficiency Working Group: final report

05 August 2009This report evaluates a number of potential vehicle fuel efficiency measures, following consideration of public comment on a discussion paper releasedin September 2008.

The report was prepared in response to the Council of Australian Governments' request for a package of vehicle fuel efficiency measures designed to move Australia toward international best practice. Following consideration of the report's recommendations, COAG agreed to a range of actions, which include undertaking a Regulatory Impact Statement to assess the costs and benefits of introducing CO2 emission standards for light vehicles. The actions agreed by COAG are set out in the National Strategy on Energy Efficiency.

Comments

When it comes to vehicles on two wheels, fuel is not the only thing that needs protection. If you want your vehicle to be protected, then you all should have tank bags because you can put in them all the necessary tools to ensure it. Otherwise, you can have fuel, but there's no point if you don't have a functioning wheel.
