Western Australian Government - 2008/09 website report

19 February 2010This report provides a source of information about Western Australian Government websites for use by policy and decision makers in the WA Public Sector. It contains high-level information about the cost, characteristics and technical profile of WA Government websites.

Potential uses for this information include:

  • informing the development of strategies and initiatives to improve the way in which the WA public sector uses websites and web technology to deliver information and services
  • informing the development of strategies and initiatives to improve the return on investment of expenditure on websites 
  • evaluating the effectiveness of the WGF in terms of policy objectives, processes, implementation and level of adoption
  • providing a baseline of information which can be used by any subsequent reporting initiatives to identify trends and measure progress

On 18 November 2011, Parliamentary Secretary for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Senator the Hon Kate Lundy, announced the establishment of an independent panel of eminent community leaders to conduct an inquiry into Australian Government services to ensure they are responsive to the needs of Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
