Spectrum reallocation in the 700 MHz digital dividend band

29 October 2010

The Australian Communications and Media Authority has released a discussion paper that addresses its forthcoming allocation of digital dividend spectrum (the ‘700 MHz band’). This paper highlights key issues that the ACMA will be considering as it plans for this allocation.

These issues will influence the ACMA’s decisions about band configuration, licence design and the method of allocating this spectrum. The paper also provides background information on the digital dividend allocation process which will give context to the issues raised. The ACMA invites members of the public to submit comments regarding the issues and questions raised in the discussion paper.
