Security, cloud computing and the coming mobile environment

We are moving into a different cyber environment. Your information will be stored in the cloud – a computer somewhere else whose location you do not know – and you will connect to it with a mobile device – a cell phone or PDA. This change is bigger than any previous Internet evolution and while there are huge new opportunities, there are also significant new risks.

This discussion of the evolving cybersecurity challenges, the role of the national communications infrastructure, and the need to bolster innovation was held by the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington on 3 December 09.
