  • Australian Social Policy Association (ASPA)

18 July 2011The Australian Social Policy Association (ASPA) has been established to promote debate about and increase understanding of social policy in Australia, and to enable productive collaborations between those working and researching in social policy locally, across the Asia-Pacific region and internationally.

It is a non-profit organisation and professional association of social policy researchers, educators, practitioners and policy-makers.

Key objectives of the Association are::

  • To support and foster research, practice and education in social policy in the university, non-government and government sectors
  • To create a forum for the exchange of information and ideas about social policy in national and international contexts
  • To facilitate and encourage higher degree research training in social policy
  • To establish links with other Australian and international organisations that have an interest in social policy issues

Through association publications, seminars, workshops and conferences, and other activities consistent with its aims, ASPA undertakes to facilitate, maintain, and strengthen social policy links across sectors. By fulfilling its objectives ASPA seeks to serve and assist the community of social policy researchers and policy makers in their efforts to understand and contribute to the promotion of human well-being.
