Rethink Australia

30 April 2010Rethink Australia is a national project involving public education, consultation and deliberative programs to capture the ideas and viewpoints of all Australians on how to improve the rules that govern our nation. This website equips the public with the information and the tools needed to do this. It provides information about the project, how it works and importantly, how people can get involved.

The website challenges Australians to consider these simple questions, "How should our democracy work to cope with the future, and what should Australia's Constitution contain or control?" Rethink Australia hopes to fire the public's imagination and capture more effective alternatives to our present way of governing the nation that are citizen-based, fairer and less complex.  Source: The site is provided by Citizens Charter a non-partisan, non-government and non-profit organisation established to encourage democracy and constitutional reform.
