Can we use behavioural insights to improve written communication and increase compliance?

INSPIRE for better communications will show you how to influence behaviour more effectively by incorporating behavioural insights in your writing. The INSPIRE framework of tools can be applied to a range of direct and indirect communication, including standard letters, text messages, emails and website content.

Delivered by Monash Sustainable Development Institute's BehaviourWorks team, the course consists of approximately 15 hours of online learning across the seven-day program; two live workshops, plus videos, discussions, readings and case studies within a self-paced flexible structure.

BehaviourWorks’ short courses are designed to support skills development and the practical application of behavioural science theories, tools, techniques and methods.

Course learning outcomes include:

  • understand the key concepts from behavioural science for more effective written communication
  • become familiar with how the INSPIRE framework can improve the effectiveness of action-oriented written communication
  • apply the INSPIRE framework to a piece of written communication.
