No urgency to accept CBS bid for Ten Network, court told

Media ownership Television Australia

There is no urgency for Ten Network creditors to sign off on a recommendation to sell the embattled broadcaster to the US television giant CBS, a court heard today.

Dr Andrew Bell SC for media baron Bruce Gordon says a deed of company arrangement (DOCA) with CBS does not expire until 15 December this year allowing creditors sufficient time to consider an alternative bid from Gordon and Lachlan Murdoch.
