Description
The Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop, has issued a blunt warning to Chinese University students affiliated with the Communist Party, urging them to respect freedom of speech in Australia.
The federal government has mounting anxieties about the way Beijing uses student groups to monitor young Chinese here, whilst challenging academics whose views don't align with the Communist Party.
Australia's closest western allies are also agitating for a joint response.
