Sally Weston

Description

Sally Weston is a former Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade officer. She acted as Elections Officer for the Permanent Mission of Australia to the UN in New York for the period from 2008 to 2012, before transferring to serve as a legal adviser on Australia’s Security Council team after Australia’s election in October 2012. Sally represented Australia at many UN elections and worked on Australia’s more recent successful UN candidacies, including for the UN Security Council for the 2013–2014 term, the Permanent Forum for Indigenous Peoples and the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Sally holds a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science (International Relations with a concentration in International Security) from Columbia University, New York.
