5G is the next generation of mobile network and it's currently being trialled in Australia. It's due to be rolled out in 2020, and a new report by Deloitte says it’s more than “just the next mobile upgrade”.
It will deliver faster speeds than the current mobile network, and it's expected to drive forward the digital economy including driverless cars, and augmented virtual reality in the health and education sectors.
But will it also leave the fixed line internet connection for dead?
