Silencing dissent: non-government organisations and Australian democracy

18 Jun 2004
Description

Non-government organisations are an essential component of a healthy and robust democracy. Drawing on the findings of a web-based survey of NGOs, Sarah Maddison, Richard Denniss and Clive Hamilton look at the pressures they face in their dealings with government.
