Description
The Online Infringement Amendment enables a copyright owner to apply to the Federal Court of Australia to block access to an online location operated outside Australia with the primary purpose of infringing (or facilitating infringement of) copyright content.
This review supports the Australian government’s commitment to review the operation of the Online Infringement Amendment.
The review will examine:
- The effectiveness and efficiency of the mechanism introduced by the Online Infringement Amendment
- How well the application process and injunctions, once granted are working for parties
Written submissions in response to issues raised in this consultation paper can be submitted until 16 March 2018.
