National survey of feature film and TV drama production 2005-2006

Screen industry films and film making

This year's survey reveals a below-average overall result due largely to a sharp drop in foreign features shooting in Australia. In 2005-06 the total production slate comprised 32 features and 607 hours of TV drama. Foreign feature production was the lowest since tracking of Australian expenditure began in 1994-95. Australian feature activity increased, and there were also three features made as official co-productions.
