Publisher
Education Youth
Description

This 2007 report presents the results of three surveys: an online survey of 1,277 nine- to 17-year-old students, an online survey of 1,039 parents as well as telephone interviews with 250 school district leaders who make decisions on Internet policy. Among other findings, students report that one of the most common topics of conversation on the social networking scene is education. Almost 60 percent of students who use social networking talk about education topics online and, surprisingly, more than 50 percent talk specifically about schoolwork.
