This blog post highlights a newly published systematic analysis of published literature and also an examination of information on research funders available on the website of major transnational food and beverage companies.

The researchers examined the funding transpatrency of research projects and the research focus of funded projects.

They conclude that 'transparency about food industry involvement in research is far from optimal', that it aligns with their commercial interests and that the 'public health community must constantly question the value of such research for the public'
