John Mendoza on the Productivity Commission mental health review

The federal government has announced the Productivity Commission will review mental health in Australia and advise the best ways to support and improve national mental wellbeing.

The review will be finished in 18 months' time, with public consultations beginning in weeks.

Currently, the Commonwealth and states spend more than 9 billion dollars a year on mental health.

John Mendoza is a director of ConNetica, a well-recognised mental health and suicide prevention consulting practice, and an adjunct professor at Sydney University.
