Personalised medicine is an area of research that's been pumped full of hype in recent years, promising to create individualised treatments for a whole range of conditions, including cancer. But can we actually target treatment to individuals like they're magic bullets? Is the best route to that treatment through the study of genes and our genomes? And does applying this technology improve outcomes?
