In the light of ongoing allegations of sexual and other abuse within the Australian Defence Force, these links include several associated reviews, as well as Defence's strategy for reform.

On 7 March 2012, the Minister for Defence, Secretary of Defence and the Chief of the Defence Force jointly announced the response to reviews into aspects of Defence and Australia Defence Force Culture.

Final reports


On 11 April 2011 the Minister for Defence announced a series of reviews into aspects of Defence and ADF culture, summarised here (45).

The reviews have now been completed, with the exception of Phase 2 - Review into the Treatment of Women in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) which is being conducted by the Sex Discrimination Commissioner Ms Elizabeth Broderick.

In response to the reviews into aspects of Defence and Australia Defence Force Culture, Defence has developed a strategy for cultural change and reinforcement titled, Pathway to Change: Evolving Defence Culture (0).
