Condemned to innovate

Innovation Australia

In Griffith REVIEW 11, Getting Smart: The Battle for Ideas in Education, Richard Teese argues that there is a need to rethink the role of disadvantaged school, and to see such schools as system innovators rather than the dumping ground at the end of the line. He believes that “we should now try a radical approach, and recognise in these schools an opportunity not available elsewhere... to experiment and innovate in the interests of the children attending them and the system as a whole.”
