In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic a number of Australian state governments have temporarily closed schools and shifted teaching and learning online. In this article, Kate Noble of the Mitchell Institute for Education and Health Policy at Victoria University argues that such a move will generate educational inequality as the educational impact of existing digitally inequalities will be amplified in these circumstances.
