Description
The vitality of the Victorian community and its economy is significantly linked with the extent to which older people's participation can be fostered and encouraged.
During this Inquiry, the Committee identified that there are individual, community and economic benefits of the diverse participation by people in later life. Barriers to participation experienced by older people mean Victoria does not benefit fully from the potential contributions of older people in the community.
This report makes a series of recommendations to foster and enable older people to participate socially, economically and in the community to the extent that they want and choose to.
