%X In 2011-12: - there were more than 6.5 million presentations to public hospital emergency departments - 72% of patients received treatment within an appropriate time for their urgency (triage) category - almost two-thirds of patients stayed in the emergency department for 4 hours or less, and 90% had left within 8 hours and 30 minutes.
