William Louden

Louden is Emeritus Professor of Education at the University of Western Australia where he was Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor from 2009-2013 and Dean of Education from 2006-2008. 
Professor Louden is Chair of the Governing Board of the North Metropolitan TAFE and the Telethon Kids Early Childhood Development and Learning Collaboration, a board member of Brightwater Care Group and a trustee of the Fogarty Foundation. He has served as chair and board member of state and national educational standards authorities. His recent work includes a review of the Safe Schools LGBTI resources for the Australian Government and a review of the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards for the Government of New South Wales.
He has a PhD from the University of Toronto and arts and education degrees from the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University, and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators. He was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in 2014 for services to education.
