In this National Press Club address delivered 11 June 2003, Professor Mick Dodson discusses the different forms of violence afflicting Aboriginal communities. Dodson examines entrenched relationships of violence that exist between Aboriginal people, and against Aboriginal people, about domestic violence between partners, sexual violence against men, women and children by individuals and groups, violence by groups against other groups, self harm and suicide, and all forms of psychological and, what he calls 'historical violence' experienced by individuals and families over generations.
